Merck and Infinimmune Partner on AI-Enabled Human Antibody Discovery
Published in Artificial Intelligence, Drugs development & discovery.
Merck and Infinimmune announced a collaboration to discover and develop new human antibody therapeutics against multiple undisclosed targets.
Infinimmune’s approach combines its human-first Anthrobody platform with GLIMPSE, an antibody language model designed to support antibody discovery and optimization using data derived from human immune repertoires.
Merck will lead subsequent development and commercialization. Public reports on the agreement have placed the potential value of upfront and milestone payments at approximately US$838 million.
Why it matters
The partnership illustrates the growing use of AI language models in biologic drug discovery, particularly for navigating the enormous sequence space of therapeutic antibodies.
