Basecamp Research Raises $140 Million to Advance AI-Designed Therapeutics

Basecamp Research announced a US$140 million Series C financing on September 23, 2026. The company plans to train a new generation of its EDEN biological AI models and advance experimental therapies toward clinical development.
An initial focus is in vivo cell therapy: designing interventions intended to reprogram cells inside the body. Basecamp combines models trained on biological data with technologies for writing DNA sequences into cells.
The financing supports therapeutic development and pharmaceutical partnerships. It is a funding milestone, rather than evidence of clinical efficacy or regulatory approval. The company’s reported preclinical progress still needs to translate into safe and effective treatments in humans.
