Arboretum launches AI and genomics platform for common-disease precision medicine

Published in Artificial Intelligence, Drugs development & discovery, Personalized medicine.

Publication date: October 6, 2026.

Arboretum LifeSciences launched with $30 million in Series A financing and an approach combining artificial intelligence, genetic testing and clinical data. Its stated goal is to support precision medicine and genetically stratified clinical trials for common diseases.

The company identifies Advocate Health, Cardiovascular Associates of America, Geisinger Health and Providence Healthcare as current healthcare delivery partners. It plans to connect clinically indicated genetic testing with research networks, helping health systems return genomic findings and helping drug developers recruit genetically defined patient groups.

Arboretum was founded by leaders from the Broad Institute’s Data Sciences Platform. Its launch outlines infrastructure for testing and research collaboration; it does not establish that the platform improves treatment outcomes or that genetic stratification will benefit every common-disease trial.
