Nurix Therapeutics announced a second two-year research extension for an undisclosed oncology program in its collaboration with Gilead Sciences. Nurix will receive a $10 million extension fee.
The partnership, established in 2019, explores compounds that recruit E3 ligases to remove selected disease-associated proteins. Gilead can license resulting candidates; Nurix retains options to share U.S. development costs, profits and losses equally on up to two programs, subject to restrictions.
Separately, the collaboration’s first licensed candidate, GS-6791 (NX-0479), is an oral IRAK4 degrader in Phase 1 clinical development. The announcement does not identify the extended oncology target or report new patient efficacy results.
