Accucold Introduces Dual Shield Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers for Life Science Storage

Accucold announced on October 6 that its Performance Series now includes Dual Shield upright ultra-low temperature freezers for laboratory, pharmaceutical and other life science storage. The range includes 530-liter and 780-liter models designed for storage at −86°C.
The manufacturer says two independently cooling compressors provide redundancy: if one fails, the other can maintain −80°C. Vacuum insulation and insulated inner doors are intended to help temperature recovery after door openings.
A touchscreen provides temperature displays, operational records, data curves and inventory controls, with USB export and several authentication options. Access ports allow facilities to add monitoring equipment. Accucold says its products are distributed through medical equipment dealers in the United States and Canada.
The announcement presents manufacturer specifications rather than independent comparative testing. Laboratories should match storage conditions and monitoring requirements to their particular samples; the release does not establish suitability for every biological material.
