Arvinas presented final Phase 1 data for investigational ARV-102 on October 7, 2026 at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders. ARV-102 is an oral PROTAC designed to degrade LRRK2, a protein implicated in Parkinson’s disease biology.
The placebo-controlled trial included 24 patients with Parkinson’s disease and evaluated doses from 20 mg to 80 mg over 28 days.
The company reports exploratory, dose-related improvements in an eye-movement measure of saccadic hypometria, alongside changes in cerebrospinal-fluid biomarkers. Reductions in LRRK2 were associated with changes in oculomotor function and markers related to endolysosomal, inflammatory and synaptic pathways.
Arvinas explicitly states that the trial was not designed to assess clinical efficacy. These findings support further investigation; they do not establish that ARV-102 slows Parkinson’s progression or improves everyday functioning. The small sample and short exposure also limit conclusions about longer-term benefit and safety.
