Cerevance reports Phase 3 solengepras results in Parkinson’s disease

October 7, 2026 — Cerevance announced topline results from ARISE, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 study of solengepras as an additional treatment for Parkinson’s disease with motor fluctuations.
The 12-week trial randomized 341 participants to once-daily 75 mg, 150 mg or placebo while continuing their usual Parkinson’s medications. The primary comparison, 150 mg versus placebo, showed a 0.61-hour reduction in average daily OFF time at Week 12 (p=0.0350). OFF time fell by 1.56 hours from baseline with solengepras and 0.95 hours with placebo.
The company also reported 0.60 additional hours of ON time without troublesome dyskinesia versus placebo (p=0.0468), alongside improvement in motor experiences of daily living.
Solengepras targets GPR6 rather than dopamine receptors directly. These findings concern symptom control over 12 weeks and do not demonstrate slowed neurodegeneration. The treatment remains investigational; Cerevance plans FDA discussions about a potential application. The announcement reports company topline data rather than a full peer-reviewed trial publication.
