Pharmability announced on October 6, 2026 that the first patient had received TIR-C in its first-in-human Phase Ib trial for atopic dermatitis. The initial cohort of eight participants at a Swedish clinical site is fully enrolled.
The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study tests a treatment applied to the skin in adults with atopic dermatitis. Its primary objectives are safety and local tolerability. Secondary assessments examine systemic drug exposure, while exploratory endpoints will look for preliminary evidence of efficacy.
The company plans to review safety data after the first cohort completes treatment before progressing to the next cohort. First dosing marks entry into clinical testing; it does not demonstrate symptom improvement or establish a favorable safety profile in patients.
