PulseSight reports exploratory AI imaging analysis from six-patient eye therapy trial

Publication date: October 7, 2026.

PulseSight Therapeutics announced further findings from its Phase I PST-611 trial on October 7, 2026, following a presentation at EURETINA on October 2. The study treated six patients with advanced dry age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy with a single administration of an investigational non-viral gene therapy.

The trial primarily assessed safety and tolerability over four months. A subsequent post hoc analysis used RetinAI Discovery and AI models to quantify four optical coherence tomography biomarkers before and after treatment.

The company reports early structural signals in five of six patients. Across the full group, mean biomarker growth rates were 35%–52% lower during the four months after treatment than during the pretreatment period.

This exploratory, six-patient before-and-after analysis does not establish treatment efficacy or improved vision against a randomized control group. The percentages describe imaging biomarker growth rates, rather than a demonstrated reduction in blindness.
