Teladoc Health announced two AI-powered additions to its Solo hospital-care platform on October 7: SoloScribe for clinical documentation and SoloVitals for contactless vital-sign measurements.
SoloScribe generates structured notes during virtual consultations and transfers a templated summary into the electronic health record. It supports direct-to-patient visits and visits conducted through telemedicine devices. The company says SoloScribe is now generally available.
SoloVitals uses a smartphone or tablet camera to estimate heart rate and respiratory rate by analyzing subtle facial skin-color changes with remote photoplethysmography. It is available to selected customers in private preview, with general release expected in December 2026.
Teladoc describes the measurement technology as clinically validated, but the launch announcement does not provide comparative accuracy results, subgroup performance or evidence of improved patient outcomes. Availability differs between the two products, and the stated December rollout remains a planned milestone.
