Clarity Completes Main Expansion Group Recruitment in SECuRE Prostate Cancer Trial
Published in Drugs development & discovery.
October 8, 2026 — Clarity Pharmaceuticals announced that the main expansion group of its Phase I/IIa SECuRE trial has reached its recruitment target, with 16 participants enrolled.
The participants have metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and are being evaluated with up to six cycles of 8 GBq of the investigational radiopharmaceutical copper-67 SAR-bisPSMA. Recruitment continues for an additional group receiving the radiopharmaceutical with enzalutamide. The expansion phase targets 24 patients overall, before taxane or radioligand therapy.
SECuRE, registered as NCT04868604, uses copper-64 SAR-bisPSMA for imaging and patient selection, followed by copper-67 SAR-bisPSMA for therapy. The multicenter study is single-arm, and Clarity is planning a registrational Phase III trial.
This announcement marks recruitment progress. The response figures discussed in the release were previously reported on August 5, 2026; they are not new results from the completed main group. Additional follow-up remains underway. Both products are unregistered, and the early study does not establish superiority over standard treatment.
