Glaukos licenses RevOpsis trispecific retinal biologic RO-104

Published in Drugs development & discovery.

October 8, 2026 — Glaukos announced an exclusive agreement with RevOpsis Therapeutics to develop and commercialize RO-104, a biologic candidate intended for retinal vascular diseases.

RO-104 is designed to inhibit VEGF-A, VEGF-C and Ang-2 simultaneously. The proposed indications include neovascular age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion.

The deal also gives Glaukos exclusive access to the RevMod discovery platform in specified retinal indications, with the potential to develop up to four additional biologic candidates. That is a development opportunity, rather than four completed treatments.

The company reports stronger activity than approved anti-VEGF therapies in established animal models. The announcement does not provide human efficacy results, numerical comparative data or evidence of better vision outcomes in patients. Animal findings cannot establish clinical superiority, and a licensing agreement does not constitute regulatory approval.
