PreludeDx highlights independent AidaBREAST validation for radiation decision support

Published in Journals, Personalized medicine, Tools.

October 8, 2026 — PreludeDx announced the journal publication of an independent-cohort validation of AidaBREAST, its multi-omic test intended to assess locoregional recurrence risk and radiotherapy benefit after breast-conserving surgery.

The underlying paper appeared in npj Breast Cancer on September 24, 2026. Today’s announcement therefore highlights an existing publication rather than a study first released today.

The validation evaluated 426 women at Royal Melbourne Hospital with early-stage hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative invasive breast cancer. They underwent breast-conserving surgery and were prescribed endocrine therapy, with or without radiotherapy. Biomarker testing was blinded.

The study uses an independent patient cohort, but the paper reports PreludeDx funding. Its observational treatment comparisons should not be interpreted as a randomized trial proving that test-guided omission of radiation is safe for every patient. The assay is intended to support individualized decisions; these findings do not establish universal eligibility to avoid radiotherapy.
