Phenomenex Launches Strata-Mag RP for Automated Research Sample Preparation

October 9, 2026. Phenomenex, a Danaher company, announced Strata-Mag RP on October 8. The magnetic-bead extraction technology is designed to automate sample preparation for liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in clinical research laboratories.
Conventional solid-phase extraction involves several processing steps and can encounter channeling or plugging. Phenomenex says the new format addresses these problems and allows laboratories to automate workflows while retaining the underlying extraction chemistry.
The product targets laboratories seeking higher throughput and more standardized sample processing. Preparing samples consistently is a practical part of obtaining reliable analytical measurements as research workloads grow.
