Haag-Streit USA and distributor Marco Lombart announced the U.S. launch of the Octopus 910 on October 10, 2026, at AAO in New Orleans. The projection perimeter measures visual fields and is designed to support glaucoma assessment from early to advanced disease.
According to the manufacturer, the device combines automated patient positioning, a motorized trial-lens holder and an integrated occluder with voice guidance and active eye tracking. These features aim to simplify examination setup and reduce operator-dependent variability.
Its analysis tools include Cluster Analysis, Stimulus V testing and Polar Analysis. Practices can also import HFA visual-field data to follow progression within the same software environment.
The announcement describes product capabilities and company expectations; it does not provide comparative clinical trial results demonstrating better diagnostic accuracy or patient outcomes. A global launch is planned for January 2027. Availability in Canada is not specified in the release.
