India’s Technology Development Board announced on October 12 an agreement supporting Peptris Technologies’ VIGOR program with ₹86 crore, equivalent to ₹860 million, through optionally convertible debt. The overall project budget is ₹172 crore.
The Bengaluru company aims to advance four AI-discovered drug candidates through experimental validation and preclinical development. The portfolio includes PEPR111 for neuromuscular disorders and oncology, PEPRX101 for alopecia, PEPR202 for neuropathy and PEPR112 for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The three-year plan covers advanced preclinical and IND-enabling studies, formulation work and preparation for clinical trials, subject to scientific and regulatory requirements. Peptris plans to combine its computational discovery platform with contract-research capabilities.
Evidence limits: This is a financing and development announcement. The candidates are currently described as Technology Readiness Level 4, with Level 6 as a project target. The release provides no human efficacy results and does not establish clinical-trial authorization or approval of any medicine.
