Zenas BioPharma announced new investigational obexelimab findings on October 12 following presentations at the October 8–10 international IgG4-related disease symposium. The update includes longer-term INDIGO extension results, steroid-toxicity analyses and an exploratory vaccine-response substudy.
Participants completing INDIGO’s 52-week randomized period could enter an open-label extension receiving weekly subcutaneous obexelimab. Zenas reported an estimated 12-month probability of remaining flare-free of 0.93 using investigator- and committee-confirmed flares requiring rescue treatment. The investigator-only estimate was 0.87, with five cases awaiting adjudication.
The company also reported less clinically meaningful cumulative glucocorticoid toxicity at week 52 in an analysis of the randomized period, and initial vaccine responses after a treatment-free window.
Evidence limits: The extension lacks a concurrent randomized comparator and includes participants who completed the earlier trial. Its estimates should not be treated as a new placebo-controlled efficacy result. The vaccine findings are preliminary and do not establish protection against infection. Obexelimab remains investigational.
