Natera and TransCode Therapeutics announced a collaboration to support enrollment in a phase IIa colorectal cancer trial of TTX-MC138. Signatera testing will help identify eligible patients who remain positive for molecular residual disease after curative-intent therapy, despite having no radiographic evidence of disease.
The study is conducted by Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative within its PRE-I-SPY program. The collaboration focuses on finding the biomarker-defined patient population and coordinating identification at trial sites.
TTX-MC138 is an investigational therapy designed to inhibit microRNA-10b, a target linked to metastatic cancer biology. Studying patients with molecular evidence of residual cancer aims to test intervention before recurrence becomes visible on imaging.
Limits: this is a recruitment collaboration announcement, with no new phase IIa treatment outcomes. A positive residual-disease marker identifies a study population; it does not prove that treating that marker improves recurrence-free or overall survival. The release provides no comparative efficacy results, and TTX-MC138 remains investigational.
